Research Interests

I am interested in building computer systems that deliver the right information, to the right person at the right time. We use a number of techniques to build such systems, including machine learning algorithms. We are building a number of these "Intelligent Information systems" with a number of partners, including New South Wales Institue of Sports, dotLRN consortium, Australian Biosecurity CRC and Capital Markets Collaborative Research Centre. We have created Intelligent Learning Management Systems as an extension to the dotLRN LMS. We are developing mobile applications for the early detection of infectious disease in Australian farms with the Australian Biosecurity CRC and systems to manage textual information used by financial analysts and advisors all over the world with the Capital Markets Collaborative Research Centre.
